Colleen Smith is the founder of Friday Jones Publishing and author/art director of Glass Halo, Laid-Back Skier, and Only Wild Plums. Smith studied writing at the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop and makes her living as a freelance writer, editor and creative director. Specializing in arts and entertainments, nature and theology, she has won numerous writing awards and is a fellow of the Salzburg Seminar, an international community of intellectuals. Smith contributes regularly to national and regional publications, serves as Denver Flower and Garden Examiner and is a reporter for CBS Local (Denver). She blogs at BlueStocking and Redroom. Smith lives in a Denver historic district where she is restoring a 1921 Craftsman bungalow. When not reading or writing, Smith is a traveler, a skier, a gardener, and in her 19th year as a yoga practitioner.
